Chad is out of Surgery and doing well

Praise God! Chad is out of surgery and Dr. Cima said that everything went as planned. It must have been because of all the prayers from family and friends. We are so blessed to have so many people praying for Chad.
Chad is in his room now and is still a little groggy from his long surgery. He has been sleeping a little then the nurse will come in and wake him to check his vitals then he will fall back to sleep. The doctor came earlier and told Chad he needs to get out of bed and walk a little tonight. I don't think its going to happen until tomorrow.

Chad,Kathy, Chuck, and Carl,
Please know that you are in our prayers here in Orland Park and am glad to hear all went well. I pray God will heal him and keep you all close in love. May God continue to give you all strength, courage and optimism as you travel this hard journey.
Your little cousin, Diane

Thank God for the good news that the surgery went well. We will continue to pray that God will provide Chad with the physical and emotional strength that will lead to a full recovery. We are thinking of all of you and praying that God will provide you with comforting assurance that all will be well.

God Bless,

Hey all,

I can just imagine Chad swinging those old long legs over the side of the bed and sliding out for his first walk. Way to go.....all of you. So happy the decision was made and that you all have the courage and resources to make this big step. Can hardly wait for a pic of Chad upright and moving his IV rack down the hall. Hang in there.....every day it gets a bit easier. Easy for me so say--right? Much love, Cathy

Hello!
I found your blog from Mark and Megan @ UCStory - My brother also had the JPouch surgery on the 28th @ another Mayo in AZ.

We want to pass along our prayers and praise that Chad is doing well and made it over the hump - having watched my brother suffer through this illness - he's young like Chad - I know that it must be a relief that Chad is on the road to being cured.

God bless,
The Hall and Jackson Families in AZ
