Hi,
We saw your link to our site and we noticed that your son, Chad is considering the surgery. Be sure to let him know there are TONS of great resources out there for him to access to make the right decision. Although it was a really hard and scary decision it was the best thing I did for my health. There is a great jpouch community you'll find where you can get info for anything, especially at www.jpouch.org - great people lots of experience!

My name is Anita, 51 years old with two boys 18 and 15. I live in New York. I had my first surgery on August 5, 2008 which was the external pouch. I am scheduled for the JPouch surgery on November 4, 2008. Can you please give me the name of the surgeon at the Mayo. I would like to have a second opinion. If you know of any other surgeon, please let me know. I would very much appreciate it. Thank you
